Joy Division : Disorder

33 Years ago today, Joy Division released it’s debut full length album, Unknown Pleasures. It is long considered one of the greatest debut’s ever, and while several songs off it get all the airplay, like She’s Lost Control, New Dawn Fades and Shadowplay, I think this song is THE song on this album. It act as the transition from what they did with Warsaw and what they become on the rest of the album. I think it’s such a great song that gets passed over for the sound that they became so famous for. I have to admit that I didn’t become a Joy Division fan until I found out about New Order first. But this was my first Joy Division album, and Disorder was the first song I heard from them. I bought it without hearing one note from them, but it was worth every penny. Enjoy.
