Bob Mould : The Descent

Bob Mould is back, and in a big way. The last few albums he’s been experimenting with electronica, and it was being integrated into his music of late. But, this one is just punk, rocking, and hard. It’s the Bob Mould of old. I haven’t heard Bob like this since Sugar, and I’m so glad to hear it! He’s playing First Ave in September, and one set is playing Sugar’s Copper Blue from front to back, and the second set is playing his upcoming CD, Silver Age. I was skeptical if I was going to stick around for the Silver Age set, because of the last few albums have been less than stellar in my eyes. But if this song is any indication of the rest of the album, this whole show is going to be the show of the year! I seriously can’t wait until the show now. Until then, you know I will be listening to this almost non-stop!
