Sunscreem : Love U More

The electronica week ends with a song from a UK band called Sunscreem. Back in the early ’90s, Sony Music signed these guys and made a big push for them in the US. This song became a big hit in the clubs, shot up to #1 on the dance charts and even peaked on Billboards Top 40 singles at position #36, one of the first techno songs to ever break into the Top 40. Unfortunately, their second album did not reach the commercial success that the first one did, and they were dropped by Sony, and never made an impression again in the US. But back in the UK, they continued their success, eventually releasing three more albums, and charting 12 singles on the UK charts. They did eventually break up in 2001 after being together for a decade. I really liked them, and wished they found more success here, but it was just not meant to be…
