The Hype (U2) : Street Mission

So, adding onto yesterday’s post, this song was featured in the movie, Killing Bono. Before U2 became U2, they were known as The Hype. They originally were called Feedback in their first incarnation, later changing their name to The Hype in 1977. In 1978, they won a talent show in Limerick, in which the prize was studio time to record a demo, this was the song that they recorded for that demo, and supposedly, this video is from the actual limerick contest, but I can not confirm that little bit of information. Although, it’s definitely not one of their best songs, it really grows on you, and becomes a really catchy song. I had never heard of it before the movie, and I’m glad that they did feature it in the movie. So, check out the song, and then go watch the movie!
